Beginning a Blog
Hello! Daniel here. I’m starting a blog!! ✨
✍️Why a blog? I have quite a few ideas rolling around in my head, bumping into each other, and falling out in conversation… and I feel like it’s a good idea to express them more fully while also expanding the conversation to more people! I hope that in making blog posts, my writing skills will improve and my ideas develop — ideally through interactions with readers (you!) who comment, share thoughts, and open up space for generative dialogue! I also quite enjoy writing (and perhaps you enjoy reading) so it should be a good time all-round!
💡What’s it about? This blog (and website) is called “By Love Alone,” a name I will surely discuss more later. I chose this name because love is really what this is all about! I want to write about love, in loving ways, participating in the spread of love, for the sake of love! What that looks like will change with the seasons, but I’m sure this blog will include discussion of many spiritual topics, like the things already on this site. If you too wish to learn how to love abundantly and effectively and how to live in the limitless confidence of love… well then you’re exactly who I want to write to and dialogue with!
🙍♂️Who am I? I’m assuming at some point people who don’t already know me will read this (and if that’s you, here’s a special sparkle✨), so I suppose an introduction could be useful. At the moment I’m 28 years old, live in Cincinnati, work in IT and as a barista, and am studying for my Masters of Divinity degree. All I want is to live a life of Christ-like, self-sacrificial love, which right now means spending a lot of time in prayer, in facilitating community, and sharing tools for self-understanding, spiritual growth, and living a life of love! And now, part of that will be through this blog thing :)
I don’t need to say much for my first post, but I’ll end with sharing a quote from my favorite saint~
“Love knows no such word as impossible, but believes ‘it may and can do all things.’”
I wish for each of you the fulness of peace, joy, and love! ❤️🔥
